The invite card. We carry a few of these metal cards. If we meet you and think you'd make the table better, we'll hand you one, and it skips the waitlist.

We bring people together to make real connections. Have fun, but leave inspired.

Character over credentials.
Titles won't get you a seat. We look for people who are fun, engaging, and make the night better for everyone.
Hand-curated.
Every dinner has its own guest list and its own theme.
Private rooms only.
Always a private room or venue, so you can relax and be yourself.
A community you belong to.
Tokyo has a reputation for being an isolating city and we want to change that.

More than just dinner.

Anyone can book a table. We think the evening is worth designing, so a few things happen at every dinner, and a few things don't.

House rules

  1. Notifications are turned off. Take a photo or two but be present otherwise.
  2. Everyone is introduced. Your host introduces every guest to the table.
  3. One question for the table. Guests get a single question the day before. Everyone answers it, briefly, before the main course.
  4. Everyone moves once. After the main course, half the table changes seats.

From the host

I love Tokyo, but its enormity means you can live here for years and never really feel like you belong.

Despite there being so many people, it can be surprisingly hard to make real connections. I've had way more Uber Eats nights in than I'm proud of.

Of course, apps weren't solving it for me. They were making it worse.

Endless social media feeds to scroll, the exhaustion of dating apps. Even Timeleft began to feel generic and fleeting. I wanted the opposite: something small, personal, and not meant to scale.

So I'm hosting a series of private, intimate dinners for fun, interesting people who feel the same way.

If that sounds like your kind of night, I'd love to have you at the table.

English, for the time being.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Sorry, no +1s to our dinners. Every seat is curated based on what we know about you. However, we may host different events in the future, including those visiting Japan for a short time, in which +1s will be allowed.
How much does it cost?
Dinners are usually around ¥20,000 per seat. The exact price for each dinner is shown before you pay. We may also curate different experiences at lower price points in the future.
How are guests chosen?
We read every application and put each table together by hand. We look for people who are fun, engaging, and make the night better for everyone. We try to make sure people have enough in common that they'll have something to talk about.

Always in a private room or venue in Tokyo. The venue for each dinner is shown before you book.
